Interactive Syringe Visualizer

One of the most common mistakes in peptide research is misreading syringe tick marks. Use this tool to visualize exactly how far to pull the plunger back for your specific dose.

Visualize exactly what your dose looks like inside different insulin syringes to prevent dangerous reading errors.

How to read this syringe:

Pull the plunger directly to the large "10" line.

* Note: A U-100 1.0mL syringe has major lines every 10 units, and tiny lines every 2 units. Always ensure you are using a standard U-100 insulin syringe (not U-40).

U-100 vs U-40 Syringes: A Dangerous Confusion

In human medicine, standard insulin syringes are U-100 (meaning there are 100 units of active ingredient per 1 mL of liquid). However, in veterinary medicine, U-40 syringes (40 units per 1 mL) are extremely common.

All calculators on OnePeptideShip - and almost all modern peptide mathematics - are based strictly on the U-100 syringe. If you accidentally purchase U-40 syringes and attempt to pull to the "10 unit" mark based on a U-100 calculation, you will be drawing 2.5x more liquid than intended, leading to a massive overdose.

Understanding the Tick Marks

  • 1.0mL (100 Unit) Syringes: Typically have large numbers every 10 units, and tiny tick marks every 2 units. (It is impossible to accurately measure an odd number like 11 or 13 on these).
  • 0.5mL (50 Unit) Syringes: Typically have large numbers every 5 units, and tiny tick marks every 1 unit. Highly recommended for doses under 50 units.
  • 0.3mL (30 Unit) Syringes: Like the 0.5mL, these have tiny tick marks every 1 unit, but the barrel is much thinner, making it easier to read micro-doses.
